This was the only budget hotel with single occupancy. 06/24/2017 booked one day before arrival for only 25 €. The price corresponds to the quality. The single room is very modest, but quite good for an overnight stay. Everything you need is there. Minus the smell of the old building was eliminated by opening the window. Quiet area, river, very close to a park, swimming pool, grocery store, pizzeria, bar, a little further away ski lift, tour. office, center, bus stop. The beginning of the road to Spain (15 km, 28 minutes). To the highest peak of the Pyrenees Aneto.
This hotel is called the Villa Alti now We were told it used to be a monastery. Certainly there is still a Chapel on the ground floor with stained glass windows. The hotel has good off street parking, does not have a bar or food in the evening, but does serve a good breakfast. Rooms are modern and adequately kitted out, but lack the character of the old building. Value for money is OK.
Former monastery. Large rooms with high ceilings and antique furniture. Very small bathroom on the other hand, but still quite fine. Public chapel with incredible acoustic. The breakfast was also above all compliments with good cheese and jambon.
What a find ! An amazing historically significant building in a fabulous location. Very helpful staff.
