Finally! So excited to be back inside this space. (R.I.P. Franklin Co). The FFirst day and the food was super fresh and delicious! The Service: friendly and on point. The Vibe: It doesn't yet feel like a Mexican restaurant. The music was a weird blend of emo, indie and pop edm and there are WAY TOO MANY TVs for such a small space. Makes it feel like a sports bar. Total vibe killer. They're still definitely working out the kinks as in any opening. Hopefully they'll get a music person to give us solid playlists and kill off at least 3 of the 4 tvs...or maybe play cool old movies instead of sports games that 99% of the patrons aren't watching. Welcome back! I'm 3 weeks late for the re-opening, but all the same, I am very happy this awesome restaurant is OPEN! I was there last night and was thrilled to find out the chief from the original restaurant is in the new kitchen. Lucky to of met him, nice guy, and personally thank him for creating delicious vegan options. We ate at the bar, I had a delicious super crunchy (vegan) taco and margarita. Friendly fast service. Pretty much the same as the original restaurant, just a bit smaller. La Villita Cantina is my, go to walking distance, restaurant and local bar! YAY!
This place has all kinds of options! Dairy free, vegan, vegetarian and more. It's a super cute spot with tables inside and a couple tables outside for those with dogs. The enchiladas with chicken were A+. They did run out of mole so maybe that would've been even better option. The Korean popcorn chicken (vegan) were absolutely stellar!!! It was barely spicy and coming from a non-vegan I would order this again. It also does come in eat form as well!
I am glad my friends just happened to stop here for dinner on a whim. The food was excellent! Very authentic, unlike most other Americanized Mexican restaurants. I ordered the molcajete and I have to say theirs ruined all other places molcajete for me. This was by far the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back anytime I'm in the area.

Absolutely horrible service. Waited for over 15mins and no one ever checked in with us to take our order. We ended up leaving and had dinner at another restaurant where they actually take the time to give their customer great service. This would be a hard pass. Do not recommend coming here!!!
I’m a truck driver. I’ve been all over and tried many Mexican places before. This is the best Mexican food I’ve had in my life. No test at all. So much so I’m leaving a review. Stop here!!!
Service was good but the food is bland as can be. First time I've ever hand bland Mexican food. I do not recommend this place at all.
Very nice experience clean restaurant and restroom. I ordered the red snapper and was completely satisfied.
