I recently revisited Lo Voile a French bistro I last dined at five years ago, hoping to relive fond memories of delicious cuisine. Unfortunately, my return visit was a letdown in every way possible.Starting with the onion soup, I was expecting a rich and flavorful broth, but what I got was bland and watery. It lacked the depth and savoriness that should define a good French onion soup. The escargots, which were a highlight of my previous visit, were similarly disappointing. They were overcooked and lacked the garlic and herb butter's usual vibrant taste, leaving them rather rubbery and tasteless.The main courses were no better. I was looking forward to a nice French cuisine dining experience and it was also to celebrate a birthday. We ordered our Escargo and though it was prepared well in pesto sauce, it did not sit on a pastry that we were accustomed, but was offered bread. The escargo was good but as tasty as I would have liked,,,lacked garlic taste. The risotto appetizer was tasty, though the rice was not as soft as I had expected. The braised beef shoulder had a thick sauce that was a bit too thick and salty. The braised beef was not as tender and braised as I would have liked. The duck entree was tasty and light. The service was nice and friendly. It was a birthday Dinner and wanted a delicious dinner. Unfortunately, the dinner was not remarkable. The escargot was good but not tasty. The braised beef was tough and the sauce/gravy was a bit too thick and salty. The duck entree was flavorful but the duck was unusually tough. The risotto was tasty but al dente was a bit too al dente. Had many French dinners and this one was unfortunately not to my standards. Too bad because it seems like a quaint place to dine.

La Voille was wonderful. A very quaint and comfortable Bistro with very good and attentive service and excellent cuisine. The Terrine and Foie Gras were bot outstanding. Beef Bourgignon was pleantul, slow cooked, and succulent, and the Roast Duck Breast was also amazing. Mouse aux Chocolat and Creme Bruelee were also excellent. Look forward to going back again. Wonderful experience! Sat outside on a lovely evening recently, service was spectacular! I had the price menu, pea soup starter, and the duck confit which was delicious and could have been shared. Crème brûlée was shared with my daughter and it was amazing. Definitely will be back!

The steak here is hands down my favorite and better than any steak from a steakhouse! On top of that, the staff is phenomenal. I hosted a family birthday dinner here and felt completely looked after by our waiters and hostess. Will be coming back every chance I can!

Great service, good food for the price, nice wine list with many affordable bottles under $60. Other people’s reviews made me nervous this wouldn’t be what we wanted, but it was great for a casual but nice birthday dinner

Took out-of-town visitors to dinner at La Voile Brookline last weekend. We were seated immediately on arrival. A small but well-chosen wine list. Authentic French restaurant ambiance. Delicious Food. Impeccable service. Reserva una mesa ahora

We had a fabulous terrine and perfectly done duck breast accompanied by tiny potatoes, brussel sprouts, pine nuts and cranberries. The Cote d'Rhone wine was a good complement to the duck.

Authentic French food. attentive service. Dietary restrictions: My friend did not eat sugar they brought a bowl of fresh berries for her dessert.
