We visited as part of a large group and the restaurant did pretty well to cope with our numbers and feed us reasonably fast. It has to be said that my meal was 'nothing special', but I attribute that to the number of meals they had to produce quite late in the evening. I suspect that smaller numbers, under less time pressure and arriving earlier, would have eaten better, so I don't blame the establishment and I look forward to going back one day.
By far the best place to chill after your long day at the beach. Staff very friendly, English speaking (not that that matters as you, as a foreigner, shouldn't expect the locals to speak your lingo but instead ADAPT!! . Great loungey music. Best cocktail: Coconut Chilly Mojito. Great pizzas and pastas but my favourite was the Octopus Salad. We were in Corsica a week (not staying in Solenzara yet we came back here 5 times! Highly recommended!
We stopped in this restaurant on the way back to Bastia from Col de Bavella. It's right on the beach and had some good review on TA. It has a lovely ambiance. The service was good and the food was delicious. My friends had pizzas which they enjoyed. I ordered the goat cheese salad and the Aubergine Corsican speciality and my husband got the veal chop. The portions were quite large. We saw lots of people swimming and enjoying this place.
Second time at La voile rouge for me and my girlfriend. Wonderful view, nice beach, friendly staff, good music, nice lounge. Lunch was extremely good ( trilogie de tartar de la mer & escalope milanaise ) and we had a very good bottle of red local wine ( Punta ). We finished with a very nice Tiramisu. We have come from Porto Vecchio and drove up the mountain to see Col de Bavella. On the way down from the mountain, we saw the ads of this restaurant along the highway and since it is by the beach, we decided to eat lunch here. We had light lunch which was salad with squid for me. It was good enough. The waiter speak English well. The view was very relaxing.
Happy to find this restaurant opened again!!! We had a delicious lunch on the lounge side of the restaurant, good local wine, very friendly staff !! Good quality price ratio, the view it’s just awesome and the place worth a 5 starts review!!
Super !! What a good location to eat a pizza de mer, like the fish just jumped on the pizza cooked and well. Friendly personnel short waiting time live cooking. The more prize is payable. Quality food. We like to come back...
