l'Abri - Reserva de mesa

Saw this was a recommended place to eat so gave it a try. We were initially welcomed then completely ignored for at least 20 minutes. German people and French people were served before us despite them arriving after us and we were on the verge of leaving when our drinks order and our food order were taken together. Limited choices for vegetarians as usual in French restaurants but the pizzas were very good. We won't be returning to this restaurant despite our further 10 day stay in Barcelonnette.

We were here for dinner. 2 Pizza medium size and beef steak (pave de boeuf) and tartare. Over all good quality. I personally found the pizza toppings a little strange but the kids were happy with it. The tartare was good and the beef perfectly grilled to medium. We had the red house wine which was a little warm but a great rounded taste for the price. Seating on the place was calm and cool and the staff is attentitive.

We were a group of six cycling in the area for the week and we ate twice in the restaurant and all the meals abd service were excellent. We tried most dishes on the menu but I can recommend the gaspacho, burger, steak, tiramisu and the house rose. Great place relaxed, friendly and great food with a twist.

Ate here on our previous visit. Behind the Tourist centre, so don't miss it. A charming restaurant with a humungous great pizza oven. Very happy, friendly staff, I had lasagne and chocolate mousse, he had pizza and sorbet. It was all fabulous. A really lovely find Reserva una mesa ahora

We were pointed to table almost in rain, we asked better table in terrace, but no space for us, even the restaurant was empty. I think they like toserve only French customers. We were really dissapointted and walked to better place in center.

We were quite disappointed and surprised by the poor quality. The pizzas we ordered were not tasty, very little ingredients, not so fresh, cheap cheese and some toppings were missing. Service was slow and not pleasant.

Superb contemporary restaurant set in a small square behind the main square. Nice terrace out front, friendly staff and outstanding food. Good value for such a nice place.

Pizza are good and homemade, the other dishes of the card aren't (according to the waiter). Good location on a small square, staff is attentive. Reserva una mesa ahora

I used their take away service. I ordered some fresh pizzas. They were very tasty with fresh ingredients!

Probably the best pizza's in Barcelonnette! Very friendly spontaneous service. We can only recommend it!
