I know how busy New Year’s Eve can be but we’re utterly disappointed with the food this evening. Collected the ordered which said they would take an hour ended up waiting 2 hours , then when we finally got back to the other side of Plymouth (we always get our Indian from lackys, even though we live in higher Compton) we had multiple dishes missing , pilau rice , naan bread , a chicken tikka masala , 2 poppadoms . This is not acceptable that was 2 peoples meals gone and not been able to eat this evening . Food was cold when we got it home only a 7/8 minute drive from Hooe lake . The curry we did receive the chicken was tough and not edible . Really disappointed this time around as we normally...
We went the night before New Years Eve and there was just one family in. We have been looking for another Indian restaurant since ours closed down in Mutley and this is it. The decor is a little old fashioned but we like that. The mixed kebab is superb, full of flavour, something I have missed in the others we have tried. The Murg Makani was delicious as was all the food. Light nights are coming so we don't mind the trip out. Having eaten as a tourist in India many times over the last twenty years this food reminds me of what I have eaten there. Great stuff, we will be back. P.S. they only serve beer but you can bring your own wine, no service charge as long as you take your empty bottle wit...
My wife and I visited on a Saturday evening at 5.30 so first in and our first visit. On sitting down the first thing you notice is the appalling state of the place. It was filthy. There was a extension lead by the window almost black with grime, food on the floor the decor in need of a dire luck of paint and the place a total clean. We were going to leave but I was recommended this place for the food. And you know what, it is quite good. Tasty balti, very good portions and a good price. Please lackys, clean, paint and make the place attractive and welcoming and more people will come. Unfortunately until then I won’t be back. A real shame. Sorry
I can't believe we haven't eaten here before last night.I am really fussy but I couldn't fault our meal. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and I would recommend anyone to go there. Thank-you guys

Always amazing freshly prepared food I’m hooked on the Bengal fish buhna at the moment. Delivery is available and even though we don’t live far away, we arrange this as it’s a treat after a busy day.
Great take away. We were staying at the Plymouth sound caravan site and popped down to get a take out. Great food and the guy who served us was really friendly.
Ordered from here for the first time and had the food delivered. Excellent service and the food was absolutely delicious- spot on! It won’t be our last.
I love lackys, the food and service is always amazing! Couldn't recommend mire. wont go anywhere else for Indian in Plymouth!

Great food! Enjoyed a family evening. You can even take your own wine. The staff are excellent aswell.
Brilliant. Clearly cooked on the premises. I love my curry and this was one of the best I’ve had.
