the cave is literally inside a volcano.. in the city of nazaret . were the years when the shooting of the mysterious island would bring the popular actor omar sharif to visit lanzarote . at this point he fell in love with the island and what would become his home. only two days after omar had acquired the wonderful property, sam benady, the promoter who had made the sale, decided to frame it and, knowing his passion for gambling, urged him to bet the house on a card game. it is not surprising that omar has taken an embarrassing beating to the cards and has been forced to hand over the keys of the house of his dreams. The house extends along an ancient quarry for the extraction of volcanic rock and consists of caves, tunnels and terraces where each corner is treated in detail. Its wooden beams were used among the shipwrecks that reached the coast of lanzarote and much natural ingredients for the construction. the tour of the house leads us to the discovery of different environments that are transformed by cozy caves to accommodate the kitchen, the bedrooms and the living room. in the middle of the garden, a beautiful central lake surrounded by palm trees and surrounded by lush vegetation, flood everything. The house de omar sharif is much more than a museum full of stories, since, every day, at dusk, it animates itself to become one of the most beautiful restaurants of lanzarote .
