Went out with a few friends on a Saturday night, Lake Street Kitchen Bar is one of the few late-night hangouts in Oak Park, so we thought we would give it a whirl. I was expecting more when it came to food options, very basic, lots of sandwiches, I can make a sandwich at home. Drinks were also pretty expensive and service was ridiculously slow, even though they were not that busy. We waited for over 20 minutes to put in our drink order, then an additional 25 minutes before the waiter came back to take our food order. Overall our tab was around $130 and I don't think we received $130 worth in service or food/drinks. We left hungry, unsatisfied and relatively annoyed at the experience.
The clam chowder soup should not have been allowed to be called clam chowder. Also when I ask for crackers for my soup you should have some. What type of restaurant offering daily soup specials each day doesn't have crackers or some alternative they could offer me. The bad soup accompanied by an unhelpful waiter made for a meal I didn't even want to finish.
This is a good spot for drinks and a few noshes to go along with those libations. The food is okay, but not great. I think it's good for meeting a friend for an after-work drink or for hanging out before/after exploring down-town Oak Park. Service can be hit or miss.
I've been here many times and I'm never disappointed! Lots of beer options. My fiancé and I like to go for drinks and split a bunch of appetizers. The only one that was subpar was the pork tacos app but we still ate them.

We had a pleasant experience. While a couple of minor details in our order were not fulfilled as requested, they were happily corrected when we brought them up. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed ourselves overall.
We had a lovely late afternoon dinner on Sunday. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and the trout was absolutely delicious! There was a great selection of beers, offering something for every beer lover's taste.
This is a nice basic restaurant with all of the basics. The service could be a little better and the noise level a little lower. But for the location and overall I would recommend if you are in the area.
Our group of five had an excellent dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the location is fantastic. This restaurant is a wonderful addition to Oak Park's culinary landscape.

Nice small plate menu with some items with a twist. Loved the Moroccan Pork Sliders, Oak Park has numerous parking garages that make it an easy stop on the way into the city.
Great Place to meet friends or business meeting! Enjoyed the flat breads and tasty Martini's Friendly waitstaff
