I enjoyed my birthday dinner here! I wanted to try local food while visiting this lovely tourist place and discovered that Lake Tahoe Pizza Company is almost 50 years old award winning restaurant. So why not try it out ! The staff was very polite and courteous. They take personal care of you. The overall look and feel of the place is vintage, old style and wooden. It really feels like a decades old shop. Can be a little noisy and dark in there, so go only if you wouldnt mind it. Parking is enough. You can park nearby as well since there are a few other cafes around. We are vegetarians so tried the California Veggie Pizza and created another one with bell peppers, onions, feta cheese and roma...
The pizza here is excellent. The dough is homemade. They really do a great job. We had the Jackpot pizza and garlic bread for an appetizer. Delicious! Neat eclectic decor too (I really liked the leg lamp from 'A Christmas Story ' in the front window of the place. I have heard that usually you should call ahead because they can be very busy, but we went on a Thursday night and we got a table right away.
Seriously the crust is super flaky and yummy! The best crustever! The crust is so good that it doesn't need anything other than cheese on the rest of the pizza. Although they do have some pretty yummy toppings. Also as an added perk they have a cool bar side that always has really delicious beers and ciders, and I believe that at least some of them are local.
Grate food and service definitely recommend going here for good pizza. Service was above and beyond we came in kind of late and they still seated us and waited on us even after they closed. Definitely would come back when am back in the area. Atmosphere was charming and cozy as well. Food tasted great as well.

Me and my non-vegan boyfriend both really enjoyed this place. The crust is super unique and different from any other pizza crust we’ve had; it’s like twisted. The place has been around since the 70s and looks like it hasn’t changed a bit lol Updated from previous review on 2021-06-10
They had numerous vegan options which was great. The cheese they use is Daiya, which personally I'm not a fan of Had the pizza chips to start which was disappointing as a vegan starter and very dry. Pizza was fine and good amount of toppings but needed more seasoning.
After 5 trips to Tahoe we finally found great pizza. Excellent atmosphere, service and food! I have eaten pizza all over the world and this was as good as any I have had anywhere! Where all the locals go for pizza! Can’t wait to go back!
Been going here since I was a kid growing up in South Shore during the 80's. Now I bring my family here every time we visit. Their crust is amazing and the garlic chips are to die for. My all time favorite pizza place.

Bland. Should have listened to the one person who reviewed and said that, she was right. No spices and no flavor. Skip this place if you're vegan.
Highly recommended. You have to try the Acapulco Gold. Place is nice and cozy. Bread is delicious. Will come back if I'm back in the area.
