We went here for a meal on a cold winters night in July 2017. The owner of our motel had advised us it was child friendly and we were happy to see the kids play room was right next to the dining area and had plexi-glass walls. The play area has some toys, a play mat, colouring in and a small climbing area and slide. It is not large but my kids really enjoyed it. The Club itself was a little strange to me, not being Australian, in that it had a room full of slot machines on one side, a 'games arcade' type front desk and a quite spartan dining area with TVs up on a few of the walls. Hi travellers and visitors, from the moment you set foot through the LAKES ENTRANCE BOWLS CLUB you find nothing but friendliness, warmth and a great atmosphere.The staff members are only too ready to assist you in whatever you would like to know. Go into the restaurant and sample the lovely meals provided, either lunchtime or evening time. Drinks at the bar and once you've finished your meal, you can step into the POKIES ROOM, that's of course if you like a little finger exercise, and try your luck. Once again, either coffee,beer,spirits or soft drinks can be purchased whilst you play.There is ample parking facilities and of course disabled parking for those who need it.Mind you I'm local an...
The prompt service was excellent and the meals were also in the good to very good range. I had a prawn cocktail and was expecting small shrimps on lettuce as you receive in most places, but was more than pleasantly surprised when a bowl of 10 prawns (in the shell) arrived with a lovely dipping sauce. Although a little messy, the food was to die for.
School holidays, so had to find a 'kid friendly ' place to eat. The Bowls club was the perfect place, as it has a great indoor playground. The staff were friendly, and the meal was very nice- very fresh tasting, kids loved their meals, and got a free dessert, with they got to make themselves at the ice-cream station. Fantastic visit. Lakes Entrance Bowling Club is modern, well staffed and well organised. Kids indoor playground with video feed display back to the bistro. Food options are wide ranging. A family atmosphere is present. As a member there is some good value. As an out of town guest its not the cheapest option in town.
I would gave to say that it was a pleasure to go to this club for several meals while on holidays. The staff, food and value for money was sensational. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. The food was great as was the price. The club gives discounts for their members, so we became members.
