We used to be here and they have great food and fantastic service. But this time they were overwhelmed and had not enough help. We ordered the fish and chips, a hamburger and their famous Clam-Chowder. The Chowder is fantastic, except this time the Chowder was cold, the Burger Bungalow was soggy and cold until I got it, the fish and chips of my wife were good and at medium temperature. The waitress I typed very well because I could say she was overwhelmed and not had enough help. Many companies have closed in Rockaway, so everyone goes here and they just don't have enough help. Also I was there before in her practice was fantastic, but I think they only serve Friday to Sunday. Take a chance...

My husband and I are in Rockaway Beach for the first time and are hungry. We Googled restaurants serving breakfast. We opted for Lakeside Hideaway based on several reviews from several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We are very happy. Our waitress worked alone on a moderately busy Saturday morning. She was thrilled to offer every customer a smile, although she could say that she was exhausted. I didn't catch her name, but she deserves a lot of praise for all her hard work! On November 6 and it was a good experience. Shrimp Melt was very delicious as the burgers we ordered. The best of all, active dead were boiled directly in good oil without bad to taste. Server was attentive and got all our requests right. Not a beautiful place, but a stop while visiting or driving through Rockaway Beach.

Lauren was amazing. Super sweet. Vicki was a great cook. I've been in this industry for 20 years and I can honestly say that was one of the best experiences my wife and I ever had. Thank you for everything. And don't forget that Friday and Saturday nights are karaoke and so much fun.

Great food, from a local restaurant! Although they are a little short staffed right now, the waitress Lauren did an amazing job! She was very friendly and made everyone feel welcome even though she was juggling so many orders. I would definitely recommend!
