Had a very enjoyable off the cuff visit on Saturday. We live just down the road and have never visited for some reason. We were seated outside on the decking and were served very quickly by a lovely , polite gentleman thing he is the owner or manager). He was very accommodating throughout our visit . Menu is extensive with a good range , from Sandwiches, small plates to full meals . Sandwiches and jackets we ordered were fresh and tasty. Not many pubs where you can get a decent priced , value for money sandwich these days . Fish and chips and burgers were excellent and a very generous size . Deserts were excellent. I brought my grandson for lunch and ordered him chicken nuggets which were alright, although the bowl they were served in was not very clean. I ordered a ham and cheese toastie for myself which was horrible. The ham was fatty and lacked meat, and I even found a black hair stuck to my cucumber, making me feel very sick. When I brought this up to the server at the bar, he simply took it from me without any apology or acknowledgment. The prices were not cheap, so I will not be returning to this establishment. It seems like the owners do not care about the cleanliness and appearance of the place, nor do their staff prioritize customer service.

Waited 20 min to get a drink as the lady behind bar had no idea what she was doing, not sure if she was new but she was definitely slow. I was served a drink in a glass full of dust and grease so asked to have another glass. Ordered a sirloin steak for me and my son but when it arrived realised it wasn't sirloin but a cheap cut of meat, we asked for medium and medium rare but both were chewie and hard, beyond well done. We asked for burger instead and that was edible but overall shocking. We've been there before and had no problem with the service or the food so not sure what's happened. Won't go there again I'm afraid.

Quite disappointed to be honest, We came here for a Father’s Day lunch today 19/06/2022 The food was ok, good portion sizes but the overall cleanliness was disgusting. We were sat in a corner where there were dirty brown curtains dead flies all over the window seal which really wasn’t very nice while you are having to look that way and eat and boxes upon boxes of clutter stacked up around us, which really should be stored away as look unsightly The workers didn’t seem very happy and not very welcoming. Been to this place quite a few times now, good food, great choice. We always pop into the pub when talking the caravan at the lakes, mother in law usually fussy but she likes the food here. Staff are great nothing is to much trouble, good seating area on the covered veranda, watching the fisherman catching fish and the herons as well. They also have live music every now and then. Plenty of parking as well.

Booked a table but was told when arrived they couldn’t accommodate us, later found a large group had just rolled up and we’re served when I asked he said his partner was to tired to cook! Next day had the same man snear at me when we asked if we should book or just turn up, very rude and dismissive, lucky they have no competition in the area or they would be very quiet. I’d rather spend my Money elsewhere

I must admit we only had a drink here, but the new girl as she said was very friendly and courteous. Fabulous location beside the lake and very clean with a lovely deck to chill out on.

Excellent food. We had vegetable lasagna , fish and chips and lamp kebab . All was great, the friendly service made it more enjoyable. Great view by the lake as well. Thank you. Reserva una mesa ahora

Clearly not been open for ages, but everything online says it is. Waste of time.
