There is nothing better than to come to such a cozy place after a long hiking high in the mountains. We were eating inside because of the wind and the interior of the "huette" is really lovely. We had soups -goulasch and vegetable and both were very good. Afterwards we drank fruitmilk from the local dairy and had very good cakes. We have also bought some local cheese there -excellent. The service was perfect, the staff very friendly and the prices reasonable.

This is a great place to eat at mainly because of the views. They have pigs, goats and cows so they make there own cheese and milk and the meat is just luscious. The Appel strudel is to die fir with its thin layered pastry and the strawberry juice is delicious. Really worth going there!

Our party finished an exhausting walk to the summit of the Millstatt Alpe behind the Huette and were delighted to be served with four large cold beers on the terrace by a very friendly hostess! Very welcoming!

Great place for a beer and something delicious to eat after a walk in the mountains. Fantastic location even if you don't walk and just drive over for something to eat. A fantastic unspoilt part of the world.
