L'Amuse Gueule - Reserva de mesa

I was worried about finding an everyday hangout in this neighborhood as high-traffic streets through tourist areas breed indifferent food and service. But L'amuse gueule is a very good choice. We've had morning coffee and salads for lunch and dinner. All were good. The bottle of wine we had last night was a very good value. The waiters are very responsive and seem to really care that you enjoy your time here. And the people watching is excellent. A good value for the money to be sure.

You won't find anything on the menu at L'Amuse Gueule terribly different from anything at the countless other brasseries strung along this busy shopping thoroughfare, but the fare is hearty and the atmosphere quite pleasant. The salads are terrific, especially the titular selection, rich in avocado, peppers and other flavorful vegetables. It makes a more than ample meal, and healthy fodder for continued strolling and shopping.

I wholeheartedly recommend lunch at this place: it's about as good value for great food you're likely to get close to the Centre Pompidou. Great fries (didn't expect them, truth be told), a wonderfully delicate Croque Monsieur, excellent wine -- all at very reasonable prices. Did I mention the friendly waiting staff? All said, a great place to stop if you're visiting the Beaubourg or heading into the Marais.

I'm staying literally across the street from here for the. Ext 10 days but won't come back. Decor that's some mix of classic and ... weird. Plastic chairs? And why expose everyone to a normal looking and too bright kitchen. I had some ok cheese and wine. There's no cohesive vision here. I'm sure you can find something better nearby. Comfortable and easy atmosphere welcomes you here. Waiter really kind and attentive. Food tasty and filling and reasonably priced. Linguine tasty and chicken burger ok. Nice desserts, bit more choice would be good. Will definitely come again.

Visited here for a quite drink whilst in the area. Service could have been quicker but staff were friendly and the drinks very very nice. Local's stopped by for lunch and their food looked amazing. Would definitely re-visit

Very nice XXL cocktails for a reasonable price in Paris. Add some cheese and assorted cold meats, and you end up in a wonderful evening. Long lasting happy hour (17h-23h), and a friendly service!

Reasonably good food and not too pricey. Service a bit inattentive. We sat outside but the heaters (which didn't need to be on) warmed our heads a bit uncomfortably.

Really cozy place, nice atmosphere. Quick service, food ok and friendly waiter. Spent a really nice Saturday evening with family.
