In Oberprechtal, a part of the municipality of Elzach in the Elztal, when you drive uphill, lies directly on the river Elz in the hamlet Wittenbach a magnificent farm Das Rössle . For almost 100 years, the Rössle has been run as a family business and has received its current appearance through several renovations and renovations and has been renovated according to the latest state of the art. Over a few steps you can reach the reception of the hotel and restaurant and enter one of the three guestrooms and the adjoining room of the restaurant on the right hand. I think that this division is very successful, because on one side it is achieved that the guests are always sitting a little seperat but still have the feeling not to be alone. The large guest room with the counter area and the adjoining rooms are a remnant from the start-up period of the economy, which is situated on the Flüsschen Elz, a newer date. Equipped with warm bright furniture, you feel comfortable and the service staff led by the head of the house does a rest for the well-being character of the Rössles. A side entrance of the Rössles, which leads to the reception of the house, is accessible to disabled persons, as well as the toilet facilities, the sauna with whirlpool and solarium and the bowling alley in the basement can be easily reached via an elevator for disabled people and wheelchair users. The head of the house leads the scepter in the kitchen and serves the guest an excellent local cuisine, with the proximity to Alsace not being completely denied. I definitely tasted it very well and I was certainly not there for the last time. In my opinion, the prices are moderate and I also find that you can order smaller portions with a corresponding drop. Well-sorted regional wines from the Kaiserstuhl. the Markgräflerland and the Orteau complete the well-tasting product range in food and beverages Modernly furnished guest rooms with shower/WC and TV are available for guests who want to spend their holidays here, as well as a wellness area with sauna, whirlpool and solarium. A fully equipped meeting room with appropriate comfort and technology with TV, video, overhead, beamer and DSL connection allows meetings of up to 30 people. Centrally located in the South Black Forest, the Rössle is a good starting point for day trips in the vicinity; these are just a few to name: Freiburg, Europapark Rust, Triberger Wasserfalls, Titisee, Schluchsee, the nearby Alsace or Basel in Switzerland, but also the Lake Constance is still easy to reach. Thursday is rest day, otherwise it is open at the usual business hours. For me, the Rössle is a profit of regional Badish hospitality and you feel comfortable during a visit and you are animated to return and why not? Wherever Ernest Hemingway took his Black Forests Bachforelle in the Rössle in 1922, and apparently has also famed it; read in his 49 depeschen, a collection of his newspaper reports and reports from 1920 to 1956.
