Update in December 2016, first last review Already in summer we wanted to use the much praised goose dinner in November or December. In this way we agreed on Sunday 18 by phone an appointment for four people. December at 11.30 p.m. because all Sundays have been booked. However, we reached the inn at 11.10 a.m. because we had traffic disabilities on the way, but they did not occur. We thought this was not more tragic, as the restaurant had already opened from 11 a.m. after the homepage and opening hours at the entrance door. But about it. That's why a short call would be there and why not open yet. After a short time, the boss appeared very personally and opened with the remark very involuntary, but we could not be served first, and we would not have been declared 11.30. Our answer. All right. After a while shortly before 11.30 a.m., a very nice and friendly service appeared and explained to us about the procedure of dinner, as shown on the homepage: _____________ As “Amuse Gueule” we offer our homemade goose sauce with bread, after which we serve a crispy salad. What led to the order of a Vermicelle Tartellet with vanilla ice cream and cream as well as a mixed ice cream with cinnamon cream, which was also sufficient for two persons. If at 11.00 a.m. is not yet open, this should also be on the homepage and at the exit at the entrance. However, the very nice and very attentive type of service could be restored for this. The quality of the geese and the supplements corresponds to a good thirst without being a revelation. The skin of the geese was pretty pink, but the meat was a bit dry without being hard. We have already enjoyed more value and more juicy elsewhere. The wine was very aromatic and very suitable for geese. The dessert was very plentiful and good. Everything has already been said about the ambience and cleanliness, making further statements unnecessary. Overall, we were somewhat disappointed because of the high expectations. That's enough for four stars. _____________________________________________ There were two types of bread Laaf with homemade goose ham at the expense of the house. then, 1 Martini Rosso, 3 sects. The following was ordered for food and drink: 1 bottle of red wine Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 bottle of water and 1 glass of dark beer brand Schwind, 3 Bouillabaise, 2 rosemary lamb steaks from hip to linguine with Cremolata lukewarm olive tomato salad, 1 lamb sweet with sage Gnocchi with bean salad After my three companions, the Boullabaise was awarded with abundant fish inlay. The slightly raised, very harmonious wine with its flattened chestnut aroma perfectly matched to the lamb. The lamb dishes themselves were excellent in taste and very different flavors. The respective supplements were also excellent in taste, both pasta and vegetables and lukewarm salad. The service was again very attentive, friendly and ready for the future. The sanitary facilities are in a brightly clean condition. Renewed 5* rating. _ A former colleague recommended the farm in Seligenstadt at a meeting. We followed this and booked a table for today's Sunday afternoon a week ago. As it turned out, this was also necessary. We were greeted and pointed to the table reserved for us, which was the only free table. The restaurant was completely booked. At the same time we were asked for our drinks. For me a 0.50 L jug of the Schwind/Aschaffenburg brewery and for my wife 0.25 glass of the same drink at 3.50 € and 2.00 €. To bridge the waiting time, there was a pot with gooseshmalt and kernel bread. As an appetizer, we chose a coconut pumpkin soup with cinnamons 4,50 € and a small colorful leaf salad with mustard dressing 3,50 €. We shared that. As the main dish for us was the following on the program: Pink roasted duck breast on Maronen Oranges Potato ram with Cranberry Jus at €19.50 for my wife and deer beetle at Wirsing with forest mushrooms and napkins at €20.50 for my smallness. In the meantime, we approved another 0.25 dark beer and twice a Palatinate Cuvee red wine half-dry. Since everything was very plentiful, as a dessert we have only approved a mangosorbet for both of us with 5,50 €. The ambience is friendly and modern. The stable consists of light oak wood. The noise level is normal. The staff is very nice, attentive and ready for the future. The owner is very cumbersome and open. The goose offered this season brings with the serving car to the respective tables to separate them on site. I took a picture of it. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. All in all, we can recommend the restaurant lift of the Gasthof.
