I booked a table in Rössli after reading the positive reviews hereunder, and got rewarded with a great dinner: uncomplicated atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service. On Fridays and Saturdays be sure to reserve a table I sat in the wooden “Stammsaal” and it was fully booked. Congrats to the staff, who is truly welcoming and efficient. The menu puts focus on traditional Swiss specialties and as I visited early November game and venison dishes. Das Rössli liegt im beschaulichen Emmental und ist ein typischer Landgasthof. Sprich dir Karte einfach, sehr fleischhaltig aber qualitativ absolut top. Die Preise sind absolut fair und helfen, dass viele Einheimische dieses Lokal aufsuchen. Wer ein Stück typische Emmentaler Esskultur erleben möchte, ist hier absolut richtig.

We dropped in on a Sunday evening looking for a quick meal but got so much more. We met some locals, and we noticed how the wait staff coped extremely well with small and larger groups (adults and young children) eating that night. Great meals and friendly efficient service. Would definitely visit again.

Wer feines Fleisch mag ist hier an einer guten Adresse. Die Teller sehen immer super aus, alles wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet und angerichtet. Auch die Bedienung und das Ambiente passen tiptop zu einer Emmentaler Landbeiz.
