I booked a table in Rössli after reading the positive reviews hereunder, and got rewarded with a great dinner: uncomplicated atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service. On Fridays and Saturdays be sure to reserve a table I sat in the wooden “Stammsaal” and it was fully booked. Congrats to the staff, who is truly welcoming and efficient. The menu puts focus on traditional Swiss specialties and as I visited early November game and venison dishes. I started with the “Herbst Duett” (autumn duet) comprising of lamb’s lettuce salad in a crispy parmesan basket as well as pumpkin soup served in a glass. Original and delicious starter. Kehrten zu zweit im Rössli zum gemütlichen Abendessen ein.Die kleine Karte erstaunte uns, zeigte uns jedoch das wohl allis frisch gemacht wird, was man in der Qualität auch bemerkte. Lecker frisch.Cheffin kommt noch selbst an den Tisch und fragt nach... Bis auf den unseren... Tut dem Abend aber auch keinen abbruch weil ja alles stimmte.2 Vorspeisen, 2 Hauptgänge, 2 Desserts, 1 Flasche Wein, chf 150, passt!
Das Rössli liegt im beschaulichen Emmental und ist ein typischer Landgasthof. Sprich dir Karte einfach, sehr fleischhaltig aber qualitativ absolut top. Die Preise sind absolut fair und helfen, dass viele Einheimische dieses Lokal aufsuchen. Wer ein Stück typische Emmentaler Esskultur erleben möchte, ist hier absolut richtig.
Ein Geheimtipp. Das Essen ist hervorragend und auch der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Die Portionen sind sehr gross zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Das Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne Inneneinrichtung. Die Speisekarte beinhaltet für alle etwas. Wir empfehlen diesen Landgasthof sehr. Wir kommen sicher wieder. Reserva una mesa ahora
We dropped in on a Sunday evening looking for a quick meal but got so much more. We met some locals, and we noticed how the wait staff coped extremely well with small and larger groups (adults and young children) eating that night. Great meals and friendly efficient service. Would definitely visit again.
