Ich war heute zufällig im Gut Venloh nach meiner ersten größeren Radtour durch die Gildehausener Venn – und ich bin wirklich begeistert. Nicht nur die wunderschöne Lage, sondern auch die außergewöhnlich freundliche Atmosphäre haben sofort überzeugt. Besonders hervorheben muss ich die Philadelphia-Torte – mit Abstand die beste, die ich seit sehr, sehr langer Zeit gegessen habe. Das Ambiente ist sowohl innen als auch außen einfach traumhaft. Alle Kuchen und Torten sind hausgemacht, und genau das schmeckt man auch – hier gibt es definitiv keine TK-Ware. Zusätzlich werden regelmäßig Schnitzeltage angeboten, und auch ein Frühstück (nach Vorbestellung) mit hausgebackenem Brot steht auf dem Program...
We were at the Christmas breakfast in the farmhouse café. On the upper floor was our table. The service personnel were all very friendly and attentive! food was constantly controlled and refilled and the empty coffeepots on the table were also exchanged for full cans. The selection of cheese sausage, jam, and various vegetables were large and extremely versatile. There were also agitated eggs and boiled eggs, yogurts and fruit salads. We were pleasantly surprised, over the place and the noise scene... The tables were pretty far apart, which one had good space at the table and despite the many people, could be reasonably entertained.
I really don't understand this hype. We wanted cake and a glass of dry white wine. 80% of the reviews look good. So go to Gut Vennloh... The flair does not go beyond plastic benches and peasant painting 3. Dry white wine there is as little as a bicycle-friendly way... The young service had dirty fingernails... Continue 6km to Lake Dreiländersee to the restaurant Seeblick... or to Tietmeier in Bad Bentheim! !
Due to the positive recommendations on a Sunday afternoon we visited the café and were very disappointed. Bad atmosphere, simple furnishings, cheesy wall design and, above all, the very bad price-performance ratio (2 cakes and 2 teas for €19.60 don't appeal for a new visit, as there are much better alternatives in the surroundings!

Be careful! The good reviews are definitely from relatives and acquaintances. Definitely not recommended. Fortunately, there are many better alternatives in the region.
Very nice old farm café. Very large delicious cake selection. The walls, ceilings and even the floor are artistically painted. A real work of art.
