L'ardoise Gourmande

The Ardoise Gourmande acquired the Braderie Gourmande about a year ago and has really upgraded it. This is a brasserie or diner atmosphere, with leather seats, and the daily menu is written on a large slate which the waiter brings to your table. There is also a very nice outside patio, but of course in Normandy, you can't be sure that you can use it every day! The food is well presented and you have sandwich fare for light eaters. This place is also pet-friendly and accessible for the disabled. You can have wine by the glass, pitcher or bottle, as well as beer and cocktails.

Really enjoyed our meal here as part of a wedding celebration. The staff were so accommodating especially with our two young children. I would definitely recommend. The meal was beautiful, great presentation and tasted incredible. I think the deserts may have been some of the best I've ever had!

The best food we ate in this area. Prices were good. Great choice of menu. I had duck which was cooked to perfection. My husband had chicken. The chef altered the set dish to suit my husbands taste. Kitchen open so you could see the chef preparing. Choice of eating inside or on the terrace.

Enjoyed two dinners here. Comprehensive menu, lovely terrace at back. Very helpful staff who offered good service. Very reasonable prices.
