we 'd walked past this restaurant a couple of times and the interior looked well presented as well as the menu outside. After we had ordered we were presented with (never ending) toasted bread for break tomato as well as some morcilla. The morcilla was excellent. For English folk it looks like black pudding but also has rice in it, the taste is similar just more subtle. We shared a goat cheese salad and melon with ham already we were regretting pogging out on the break and morcilla as they were excellently sized portions. My wife had lamb cutlets which were excellently cooked, very juicy but still the BBQ feel. I had a filet as did one of my daughters it was amazingly juicy ask for al pun mes for medium. My other daughter had the sausage which was traditionally cooked. We forced ourselves to eat dessert and left extremely happy. The wine is very fairly priced too. Highly recommended.
I cannot recommend this place enough!!! We stumbled on this place trying to find a parking as it is not directly on the beach front, its in a residential street and originally was a villa that has been converted into a beautifull restaurant. The decor and outside terrace is amazing. The menu is varied but i would recommend their signature meat dishes, the food and service was amazing and extremely good value compared to the general pricing in the area. You could tell that they have alot of locals going for the wonderfull food but there were a few tourists there who had no communication issues at all as the staff spoke several languages. My wife had fmish and i had the mixed grill platter which was impossible for me to finish due to the amount of meat on the plate , such a great place, if you are in salou this place is a must especially for a romantic dinner on the terrace!!!!
Our hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant. What a fantastic place. White cotton tablecloths, big and airy, spotlessly clean, excellent service, good value and the food. Yum. We got bread to start, and they brought out olives, tasty vine tomatoes, garlic and Iberian ham. All for €7-8. Meat eaters will love this. I had the steak, which came with delicious veg. The duck and pasta were also lovely. The sole was also very tasty as were the crime brûlée and the chocolate brownie. Along with a bottle of wine and two cokes the total bill was less than €95. Definitely worth a try. We will be back. It's a little tricky to find,it's in old Salou town, just off the main restaurant area. Use the map. I'd say you should book at the weekends. Well done.
Great experience for menu del dia today. Great service and menu del dia full of choices. Lovely aperitif of morcilla de arroz, pimientos padrón, huevos. Most of the food delicioso. Husband chose lamb and unfortunately it was all bones. Very very little meat. (Forgot to take a photo of it). My steak was lovely. Crepe for dessert not recommended. Very hard and doughy, not very good. Cheesecake is delicious! Other little thing. Why have the local radio station playing and not some good local music? Shame for such a classy place. Really hard to listen to and doesn't provide a relaxing atmosphere. Will come back but will choose differently from the menu. Pity wine is not included in the price of the menu del dia.
