We stumbled upon this restaurant in Syracuse in search of the best Cuban sandwich in town. Despite never having tried Cuban food before, we decided to give it a shot. Syracuse is filled with countless Caribbean food options, but we settled on this place after some convincing. The Cuban sandwich lived up to its reputation, with a perfect balance of flavors. While I preferred another restaurant, my girlfriend loved this one just as much. The empanadas were a standout for me, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like no other. *best platanos sweet plantains) or amarillios They never disappoint. I first tried them a couple years ago through my job bc they ordered from them for a work lunch. I always get the same thing, it's soo good. I get the 1/2 chicken with rice and beans and a side of platanos. I mix it all up and it is delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. During COVID- they have been very safe from what I have seen. You can place an order online or call. And you pay at window and get your food. Minimal contact.

Attention all delivery drivers: Beware of this restaurant. When I arrived for a delivery, the store door was locked and I had to wait outside for 5 minutes before someone finally opened it. My order wasn't even confirmed until I went inside, only to be told I would have to wait an additional 10 minutes. I will not be delivering from this restaurant again. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism before.

I'm so happy I found this restaurant. I wanted authentic Cuban food for a reason. I went to a local Puerto Rican restaurant (won't mention name). It was OK at best. Decent food but dry and not nearly as flavorful and juicy as this place. So of course, I'll be coming here from now on. I got stewed chicken, yellow rice, black beans (yes black beans), and of course plátanos. YUMMY!

Food and service are awesome! I work at the barber shop next door and everyone in the shop eats there A LOT.
