Las Olas By Pantin

Called in for a drink on the way past Pantin and my wife had already warned me about the reviews. I said, “it can’t be that bad and the location is great, so let’s give it a try”. In fairness, the view is fantastic from the terrace BUT.... I have been coming to Galicia for years and was excited to try the place as Pantin is a favourite spot. I am used to he Galician people being genuinely warm and friendly (my wife is a Gallega! so l am reeling from the arrogance and attitude of the staff that served us. They seemed to think they were doing us a favour and when the Cristiano Ronaldo wannabe finally came over to take our order he looked seriously annoyed that we were there and he actually had...

We went twice to this place. The first time was a Sunday with no booking and they were busy. They said there would be a delay and we had to wait for nearly an hour for our food but we accepted the situation because every so often the waitress came and spoke to us and apologized. The food was good so we decided to give them a second chance and it was a diaster. This time we booked and the place was quieter. We still had a long wait though. There were even tables on the terrace who arrived later and got their food before us. There were no apologies, it was a complete mess. Came here for a drink one afternoon earlier this week. Service was really good and safe. Tables outside or inside and we had a good beer and coke which was very good value also. The waiters were attentive and helpful plus the toilets were absolutely lovely!

Ok coffee, ok service, ok beer, ok eatables... Ok when you're out surfing but nothing to write home about. There's better options close by.

Super friendly staff serving very fresh regional cuisine. The sun terrace overlooking Playa Pantin cannot be beaten.
