There are a choice of menus at Restaurant Les Palmeres (as well as what appears an interesting a la carte) all of them appear to be good value for money on paper. Firstly we were given a glass of bubbly on the house, which...was a positive start. However in terms of the food we ordered when you see the reality of what you get for the price it's actually better than that. We chose menu 4, which is a starter of a selection of shellfish in a beautifully balanced broth the shellfish were various, superb and plentiful, there was enough for 3 people, not 2. The main course was an excellent paella, same verdict, fresh, very well balanced and we couldn't finish it so we have some for later this evening, as a light supper. Dessert we decided to push the boat out even though we were quite full, and it was well worth it. A gorgeous white chocolate mousse topped with fresh strawberries. OMG then Josep came with an orange liqueur also on the house. Excellent friendly service from him and the other chap working there.

We chose this restaurant because most in this lovely village are really good and our first choice was full. We chose the 18e menu. 1st course was a casserole of shell fish, which was very nice. 2nd course (plato) was Fideau. This was a total...let down. It was made with pasta noodle only, no fish and was dry as if it had been kept warm. When we asked where the fish or shellfish was we were told there was none in the recipe... this is not so in the other restaurants of the village. I found the owner very rudely defensive when we asked questions about the menu. As a person who lives in the area, I have looked at this restaurant when we visit Les Cases on other occasions, and have noticed that it is not well visited by the locals. There are some really good restaurants in this village, my advice is go to one of them, look where the locals sit.

I went with my university's friends to have a lunch, we started with a vermouth and we went on with some tapas, all of them were excellent and we ordered paella as a main plate. I had been before in different occasions and I went...out so thankful, for that I decided to take my friends there and I didn't deception at all!! Everything went great and a helpful and handsome staff!! We'll come back soon.
