Lasarte Bar Restaurant

At first, we booked a 2 Michelin starred restaurant that evening. In fact, when we got there, we realised that my boyfriend booked it for the following month. Therefore he quickly decided to go for a 3 Michelin starred restaurant to make it even more special. We were lucky to find the only available table that evening at Lasarte. The restaurant is at the ground floor of the Monument Hotel. I was so pleased to find out that our table was located in a more private area with only two other tables. This is my second time dining at a three michelin starred restaurant. I am a foodie and what I was expecting that evening was an “explosion of taste” as someone mentioned in a previous review and that is what we got. We chose the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was outstanding and the wine was divine. An unforgettable experience! The staff was very professional. I would always give the restaurant a 5 star rating , but my boyfriend and I think that the staff should make a better connection with their costumers. I think they were a bit too serious and cold. They must make their costumers feel special. Otherwise, our evening was perfect. Thank you!

I had lunch at Lasarte a couple of years ago. I will never forget it. You might consider €38 expensive for a lunch, but wait. The fish dish I had was stupendous, served with a very unusually refreshing broth. Best of all, though, were the more than a dozen 'amuse-bouches ', tiny plates exploding with taste, that were delivered one at a time by the excellent (if slightly too formal) waiting staff. They included roasted mushroom, imperial clam, and artichoke in codfish bubbles. For such memorable dishes, so lovingly cooked and served, I felt it was well worth the expense.

Meatballs taste like spaghettios, beef steak was a thin slice of roast beef, 4 cheese risotto was overcome by blue cheese. Rose wine was meh and light pour. Tables in back are a nice respite, but sooo bright felt like a hospital. Wouldn’t go back.

por casualidad caminando. Vi la carta. Estoy increíblemente riquisimas las cosas que pedí que me tratara como en casa. No hay problema... todo lo que puedas pedir.
