They have a smaller menu of fixed items. Took a while...to get starters but they came. Service was lacking at best. Ordered bottle of water. Brought 2 glasses for 4 people. Asked for two more glasses. Nothing. Asked for napkin Same: nothing. Then we waited about an hour as other people were arriving, getting seated, being served, while we still waited. My boyfriend is the foodie in our relationship. Whenever we go on vacation he looks forward to eating good food that is a reflection of the place we are visiting and certainly doesn’t mind paying for food that is exceptional as that is part of...the whole travel experience. We went to L’Atelier on the recommendation of someone who has been there and is from the area. We were seated as soon as we arrived, which was nice as we thought we might have to wait as we were a little early for our reservation. It all went down hill after that. A fun hip place with excellent food and creative cocktails! Pros: The atmosphere is fabulous. With three floors of bar/restaurant level, it is loud, it is fun, it is beautifully decorated. The Bisontare was amazing. I came with my heart put on the salmon star... or another seafood tart, but the bartender beat Bison, and it was exquisite. He said it was his friend's favorite. If I lived nearby, I would come for another tartar every day of the week. Drink menu is creative, and Garnishes are good. I loved all unisex bathrooms. Each bathroom also had a sink inside. Ambiance was nice but staff and food were terrible. Our waitress was rude and not friendly at all. A few of us had ordered Salmon and one of our friends ordered Cod. The Cod came undercooked so my friend ordered the Salmon dish and it...came raw as well, even though our Salmon dishes were fine. Told the staff but they didn't have the courtesy to fix the dish. We were so disappointed and disgusted with the waitress and staff that we paid for and went to a different restaurant to have dinner. So many other nice places to eat in Quebec with amazing staff and service that I wouldn't even give this place a try ever again.

My husband and I picked this restaurant because it had installed plastic shields to separate each table in the patio. The patio is very well decorated with hanging lights and water fountains so it has a relaxing and nice ambience. We order the Haddock Fish...and Chips and Yellow Beet Salad to share. Food was served promptly. Both dishes were fresh and tasty. For dessert, we had Trilogy which consisted of 3 desserts. I like savouring them with progression from sour, mildly sweet to sweet in that order. Prices are reasonable.
We loved the location, loved the atmosphere and our server was also excellent. Husband and I ate inside, the restaurant was full, but the tables were so far away that we felt safe to eat and drink our masks. Our food was fresh, hot and really... good. We will return on our next trip.
