Just returned from Holiday at the resort of Cala en Bosch, tried a number of restaurants/bars around the marina for a decent pint before falling on this gem. What a pint of Estrella served in ice cold/frosted tankards…gorgeous!! What a way to finish the day after coming off the beach a stones throw away, an ice cool pint of Estrella, listening to quality music. Giovanni the owner could not be more friendly and welcoming, a top bloke. I beleieve his wife does the food and is excellent quality at reasonable prices. Missing this little gem is your loss. Brilliant experience. This is a very simple bar with a big heart. We called for one drink. Ended up having several and an amazing supper. The pizza is outstanding. Giovanni is a pizza chef (15 years) by trade and it shows with the fantastic base and ingredients. We also enjoyed perfect patatas bravas and a special chiporones they had on that night. We believe Alexia in the kitchen is Giovanni’s wife. What a team! Wonderful friendly service and top class food. 5 STARS!
Arrived late from our flight and this was the only place serving food at this time so I visited on the advice of those at Chaplain's and met the owner Giovanni who was so friendly. He asked his Wife to make us a pizza and whilst waiting gave me a free beer and shot of tequila which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend here even just to experience the fun of Giovanni himself.
We ate here three nights out of the seven we stayed in Calan Bosch. Don’t be put off by modest decor as the food is delicious. We ate fresh seafood every night to start and the home made pasta and pizza are superb and as good as I’ve eaten in Italy. Very friendly staff and food is very reasonably priced compared to restaurants on the waterside in the marina. Would highly recommend.
