We had one hour before checking in for our Ferry from Le Havre for Portsmouth and needed something to eat. Driving round an unknown city looking for a quick, but nice, meal is always a little difficult but we stumbled across l'Atlas and were really pleased we found it. The owner couldn't have been nicer and when we explained we had little time he leapt into action. Menus were found, we were advised which dishes would be quickest and for the three of us we ordered the cous cous - lamb, merguez and chicken. A very bad experience. We were three. Two couscous, royal and merguez, very correct but it was the third dish that posed a problem. We ordered a vegetable tajine with some extra fruit. This one arrived with lamb and without fruit: it happens, the dish was returned. The second tajine arrived DIX minutes later, while the other dishes were already served for a while. We were already almost in the middle of our meal. This time, more meat but 4 pieces of fruit, light. Passing to Le Havre and consulting the right address on Google I found myself at the restaurant l’Atlas. Moroccan specialty and really cozy but flat setting from the backdrop to the restaurant the boss wonders if he will take you. Couscous good but no more merguez are not the best I have tasted. Just an empty plate that it is recovered feels pressed by the servers and the boss several times (damage for the price we pay). Without being mean maybe my experience was an isolated case but I invite the staff of this pretty restaurant to change the method. Good continuation
Very well decorated, one feels really in the oriental atmosphere. The owner is friendly and open, serving delicious couscous and tajines. I had the couscous royal which was not at all greasy which sometimes is the case in other similar restaurants, The wine is reasonably priced. All in all a delightful experience.

This was such an excellent lunch enjoyed with my friend who lives in the region. She sure chose a wonderful restaurant. The restaurant is lovely and the food so fresh and delicious. Even saved room for Cafe Gourmand afterwards and loved every bite of each course.
Warm welcome, well received by the boss' son who made a lot of effort to have a table of two people despite reservations, very well decorated and soothing restaurant with decoration
