L'auberge De L'ile

The quality of food at a reasonable price is getting a rare find in France. Pizzas and bland predicable menus for the tourist, abound in this region. Not here. The village is idyllic, as is the location of the restaurant., just over the bridge. Our menu of the day was 14 euros and was excellent quality and very tasty. The service was charming and effecient. I would highly advise a visit, for a meal or even just a drink. Not too many though because the place could soon be ruined!

This is a nice location to eat but it is about the only positive thing to say about this restaurant. The dinner was simple yet it was very badly prepared, black burnt shrimps, raw sheep meat, …a kitchen nightmare! when we mentioned the bad quality, we were ignored… we will skip this restaurant in the future…

It is the combination of a warm welcome and a stunning location that makes you enjoy the dinner. The dinner itself was fine and well-prepared. We took a regional rosé with it. Service was fine and friendly.

Lovely location in old village near the river. Been several times in the past. There for lunch but sadly let down by indifferent food and service.

Had a great lunch here in a perfect summers day. Duck salad and Carbonara both excellent. Could have sat there all afternoon !
