L'auberge De Mathieu

It took the only waitress about 15 minutes to take our order and about 10 more to bring our drinks. We are on holiday and did not mind. However not recommended if you are in a hurry. The food is really good. The portions are huge. Try one assiette or eat one of the three course menu priced at 22 or 30 euros. If you have time, go and stay 2/3 hours at the table. With small children or if impatient, do not go.

What a delightful lunch we had on the terrace of this auberge just outside Gouffre de Padriac. We started with a kir, then our group was served truly excellent fois gras pate, about the best of our trip; veal with a potato gratin; Rocamador cheese, and their delicious signature walnut cake. The hardworking husband-wife proprietors should be applauded for their excellent food and service.

Went with a friend and his two young sons early November last year, as we wanted a spot of lunch before visiting the caves at during our visit. There was no waiting, we were served with a smile the price was perfectly acceptable. It is true, we went very lunch out of season so if you are there at the same time, so stop for lunch!

We had five hungry children and this restaurant refused to serve us because they were short of staff despite our assurances that we need not eat together. Unfriendly and rude and I am sorry we didn't even get to try this food. It may have been wonderful

Extremely rude, very poor service, really unhelpful and unfriendly avoid at all costs! I have never ever had such a poor reception anywhere is France and am deeply disappointed to have to write a review like this.
