On a cold rainy day where I ventured on a roadtrip through the alps, I stopped there for lunch with a colleague. Was really quiet, only one other customer. Hostess/Server was really nice (owner? , food was good (had the tartiflette . Asked for dessert recommendations and we were both pleased. May not be considered a 5* gastronomical restaurant but price was more than reasonable, portion were generous, food was great and local. Difficult to ask for more. Worth a solid 4 out of 5.

Down from the Col de la Croix de Fer towards St Sorlin d'Arves the road passes this Auberge on the right. We went on for lunch into Arves it was utterly dead!! We returned to L'Auberge des Torins and although we were late for lunch we were offered excellent steaks and trimmings and a carafe of local red wine! We ate outside it was warm and admired the views! Quite a place to eat!! Staff were very supportive and enjoyed the banter!

We were here with 9 persons. Had a big table and enough space for the meat boilers and the clochette (a big cow bell were you can roast your meat on, very cool and tasty). The clochette was serverd with duck, beef, veal and pig. We had a fun night and a good dinner!

Inn with typical alpine decor The food is excellent, Savoyard fondue with the family (5) to do without a doubt
