L'auberge Du Marronnier

A very nice moment spent with family in this small hostel that we had the pleasure of discovering at the end of the visit of Châteauneuf Castle. A very warm welcome, a full room and a very good atmosphere. We ate very well; home, local and comforting dishes this season. A very nice setting, the terrace must be so pleasant in the summer! Rode our bikes up to Chateau Neuf and had a delightful, healthy lunch here. The waitstaff was attentive and patient with my poor French. We ordered 2 salads, a plate of fries and Aligote wine the other white grape grown in Burgundy). It was quite busy but the place is obviously well managed. They are accustomed to large tour groups and individual visitors. We will go back here again, but I will drive up the hill rather than pedal, haha.

Friendly and typical hostel, friendly staff, simple kitchen, but service was too fast. It's only a long time to get rid of it, that already the dish was on the table, and for dessert like that. For a quiet dinner it was at the stone spear...
