L’auberge Provençale with a “e” at the end) is located in the remote village mons. mons is one of these older beautiful villages of Provence with so much character. the village is located on a height of 2700 ~800 meters and you can feel the...cooler temperature while taking the panoramic view from the village square. the restaurant is not very large, but uses the view with a terrace all around. the service is pleasant and eating well. there is nothing special or imagination, only simple good food competently prepared. the menu offers a relatiw large selection and there are 3 shapes: one at 15 euro with salade niçoise and dessert, one at 28 euro with choice of appetizers, choie of main dishes...

We've eaten here several times as a family, up to six of us. You must sit on the balcony because indoors is, well, just indoors...perfectly ok but the view from the balcony is 80% of the experience here and you must not miss it. Limited tables so book ahead. Service is swift and friendly enough, food is hearty rather than haute cuisine but none the worse for that and it's not horribly expensive. We mostly have omelette & chips, which is always excellent but other choices have been very good too.The view is utterly stunning, perched out on the balcony which hangs over the valley and the whole experience of eating a leisurely lunch here is worth 5+ stars.While you are there you must also drive...

After we all went around the medieval village of mons, we decided that it was only the only place to eat lunch. it commands the best position on the side of the plateau. the tables on the terrace overhang the wonderful landscape. she beckon...passerby in the restaurant. we had a very pleasant lunch in this restaurant. the square was occupied by two French ladies, both efficient and accurate. they only spoke French. first they have disregarded vegetarian “végétalien”. in the rule, I found that veganism is mostly mistaken for vegetarianism, so when I explained more closely, the suis végétalien. je ne mange rien qui vienne d’un animal, it was immediately understood that they could only offer me...

Booked the terrace for Sunday evening meal. Picked a great night, as it was not busy and it was a balmy night. Views are spectacular and the welcome is warm. Hubby wanted the 5 course menu, so went along with this but wimped out at the cheese course! Starter of courgette gateau, followed by duck ravioli, roast lamb, skipped cheese and then panna cotta (me), starter of foie gras, mussels, entrecôte with Roquefort, cheese and myrtle (blueberry) tart (him). Restaurant is located really in the edge of amazing scenery to coastline over the hills of Provence. This will take your breath away because in this area you can 't get higher (over 800m from sea level) in the restaurant and have a decent meal. We...were group of six inc two children age of 8 and 10 having dinner while sunset painted sky and finally citylights in coastline started to blink. Terrace table in this restaurant is must to have and at least half of experience. Everything we had for meal was good and worth of pricing.

Eating lunch here on a sunny Sunday in October was just perfect. The view from the terrace is beautiful. We had a table on the east side, so mostly in the shade but with a light cardigan on, it was a perfect temperature. The food...here is simple, home cooked and very tasty. For 27 euro it was incredible value for money and the portions were so generous, I don't think I'll need to eat for at least another 24hours! This is a delightful place for lunch in a beautiful village well worth the drive up the hill from Fayence.

Going through Mons on May 1, and decided to grab a bite. Our US ignorance caused us to expect plenty of establishments to be open to take advantage of holiday traffic there were none open except L'Auberge. That was fortunate for us, stunning views...of the valley below (clear to the sea) from outside terrace seating, AND the food and service we're great as well. The turkey and the cheese plate were especially good. Casual, kid friendly, views and good food we we're lucky!

Dined here twice in the last two weeks and the food is excellent. Staff very friendly. Lovely views over the valley to Cannes and St Raphael.The set meal of 27 euros is good value with varied choices. If in this region a visit is a must. Reserva una mesa ahora

Have only been twice on consecutive weekends, but the location, view food and wine are outstanding. If you are in the area go visit, not cheap but worth every Euro.

Very nice spot in a very nice village. The terrace is very nice with great views for miles. Service friendly and quick. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
