L’auberge Provençale with a “e” at the end) is located in the remote village mons. mons is one of these older beautiful villages of Provence with so much character. the village is located on a height of 2700 ~800 meters and you can feel the...cooler temperature while taking the panoramic view from the village square. the restaurant is not very large, but uses the view with a terrace all around. the service is pleasant and eating well. there is nothing special or imagination, only simple good food competently prepared. the menu offers a relatiw large selection and there are 3 shapes: one at 15 euro with salade niçoise and dessert, one at 28 euro with choice of appetizers, choie of main dishes...
I really recommend I came back in June 2024, nothing has changed. The rating will not change either. The panorama is always sublime, the menus are at the same prices. Still so petty €1 more for foie gras. For the price, although reasonable, one could expect a service to match, the wine is served here in water glasses. A refined cuisine full of flavors. Two menus, one at €31 and the other at €41, a very reasonable price. So why 3 stars and not 5? Only for the mean side of the menu, €1 supplement for foie gras in a €41 menu! I advise you to spend the menu at 42€. Too bad because apart from this pettiness everything was perfect and not to spoil anything, an exceptional panorama.
Eating lunch here on a sunny Sunday in October was just perfect. The view from the terrace is beautiful. We had a table on the east side, so mostly in the shade but with a light cardigan on, it was a perfect temperature. The food...here is simple, home cooked and very tasty. For 27 euro it was incredible value for money and the portions were so generous, I don't think I'll need to eat for at least another 24hours! This is a delightful place for lunch in a beautiful village well worth the drive up the hill from Fayence.
Excellent reception, we had not booked, on Sunday, it did not pose a problem 25 June but it is better to do so. Very good simple but copyy kitchen, the three waitress were smiling and fast service. We recommend this hostel and the view is beautiful. Don't forget to leave a good tip.

Restaurant with a beautiful view to the sea, located in a pretty village perched above Fayence. Good cuisine, well-stocked dishes and friendly waitresses. We ate on the terrace that was very pleasant and had a very good time.
Great place. The waitresses are very nice. Excellent service. Very good kitchen. Good value for money.
Always very well received, there are only quality dishes and the view is beautiful!
