The Ponderosa was not a thin steak as described; instead, it resembled cheap roast beef sandwich meat smothered in gravy, cheese, and onions—definitely not worth the $19 price tag. The salmon looked nothing like what was advertised; it was a tiny piece, possibly frozen and of low quality, resembling the end of a tail and about a quarter-inch thick—definitely not worth the $22 we paid. The most frustrating part was when we went to pay; the server mentioned there would be a surcharge for using a credit card, which was not mentioned anywhere on the menu or communicated to us beforehand. We also had no idea what the surcharge amount would be, as our receipt only showed the total without a breakdown of charges. Considering the price we paid for our meal, this was extremely disappointing. As for parking, the restaurant is located in a strip mall with 15-minute parking spots right in front. I had a terrible dining experience at this restaurant. The service was the worst I’ve encountered in a long time. The fish and shrimp were of such low quality that they tasted like something you'd find in a frozen supermarket meal. I had to wait almost an hour for my food, and I could have cooked something better in that time. Overall, it was not only disappointing but also overpriced. The quality of the food made me think that Chef Ramsay should come to critique this place, as it seems they have no regard for freshness or customer experience. At this point, any positive reviews must be fake, or perhaps they've changed chefs, and the new one has no business being in a kitchen.
The worst service and food in a long time. They were out of most dishes. What they had fish and shrimp was low quality and tasted like it was frozen supermarket grade food. I had to wait almost an hour. I could have cooked better food in that amount of time myself. It was nasty and overpriced. The quality of food would make me think that Chef Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares needs to visit this, because they don't care about repeat business or the customer experience.
