We visited in May and there was only 1 other table occupied that evening. The setting is beautiful with views of a lake set in the woods but it is isolated and easy to drive past. The waiter was welcoming friendly and efficient. The menu was limited but that was fine and expected. The dishes are well executed but not overly incentive for a gastro destination which was a little surprising. The wine list was comprehensive in contrast to the menu.The waiter's recommendation was excellent and also very reasonably priced. All in all it was a very pleasant experience but I wouldn't make a point of returning
Fantastic experience at Lauryvan. Had an incredible meal out on the patio watching the sun set on a beautiful summer evening. The staff was on point all night long, not missing a single detail. I can't say enough good things about the food. We let the chef chose and were rewarded with each course being exceptional, the main course being fish. The flavors popped when the food hit your tongue. The presentation of each plate was crazy, almost a masterpiece. Highly recommend this place. I'll certainly go back when I'm back in town on business in September. 5 stars for the Chef
We have just returned from France and had a lovely meal at Lauryvan.I had read the reviews and understood that there is an auberge and a restaurant.We chose the auberge for the menu du jour and what a treat.The surroundings with the lake are beautiful and the auberge next to the restaurant is lovely.The staff were efficient and polite and the meal,WELL it was delicious.3 courses of perfectly cooked and seasoned food that melted in the mouth.The main for me was the best,fish on top of risotto,MMMMMMMMMMMM.The whole experience was very,verynice and we will be back in June.

We went to the Restaurant side a few years ago and wish we hadn’t waited so long to return. This time we tried the Bistrot. Food superior quality and so tasty. Excellent value. Service excellent. Asked if we preferred to speak English or French (we like to practise our less than adequate French and they were great with this ! Accommodating of the children as there isn’t a specific children's menu. The setting is gorgeous, so nice to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. We won’t hesitate to return next year. Thank you
I have been to the Bistro twice and the restaurant once, every time I have enjoyed incredible food, excellent service and the majestic setting. Because I am coeliac (require gluten free)it is very difficult for me to eat out in France but the Lauryvan have not only been able to accommodate my requirements but have actually given me a choice of options which rarely the case. If you book in advance they even make gluten free bread. Je reviendrai!
Situated in a copse outside Saint Junien, this restaurant is well worth a visit. Went there for lunch and were lucky to get the last table in the Auberge part which is cheaper than the actual restaurant. Very good food and friendly service. Their choice of desserts is amazing and they're pretty generous with them. Good value for money. As the place is very popular with the locals, reserving a table is advisable.
Just had an excellent birthday lunch at the restaurant at Lauryvan. While we have eaten in the restaurant and the auberge many times in the past and always enjoyed it, it is even better now. The new chef has added a new dimension and the food is delicious and beautifully presented. A very special place. Congratulations and many thanks again!

We had not visited Lauryvan for some time, and went back for a Sunday lunch. What a treat! Every mouthful full of flavour, and every plate carefully arranged. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and in fact the whole experience. The staff are courteous and well trained, seeming to be on hand without being intrusive. Highly recommended.
2 restaurants on site. Staff friendly and attentive and food excellent. Good value for money. Beautiul location with trees and lake. Lovely to watch sun going down
