L'Avalanche - Reserva de mesa

We went here on one of our first night at La Grande Terche, it has a new owner and he was telling us his wife had been doing cooking but now kids are back at school they had a new chef. I have to say, you could tell, it took over an hour to get food out to four very hungry and tired children.When the food came some was a bit warm some hot, they have some issues to iron out.On the positive, the owner was happy to recommend nice wines and promised to refund the bottle if we didn't like it, he was very attentive and trying really hard with us so I struggle to give him a terrible review as the food when it came was actually nice.They need to get the food delivery sorted but all in all not a bad...

Out of the 3 restaurants in the village this was the most friendly and the most cosy too.We tried to dine here a couple of times but kept finding it closed but we were lucky to get a table on our 3rd attempt.The guy behind the bar - we assume was the owner - was so friendly and polite, he couldn't do enough for us. It was clean and comfortable and the food was tasty.We enjoyed the desserts especially as there seemed to be a better selection than anywhere else we had visited that week.

Popped in for a quick drink after a day ski-ing. The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly. The food looked delicious and so we decided to take the rest of the family there.The following night we booked a table and were not disappointed. The service was great very attentive and the food, burgers and platters were fabulous.It is a small bar/restaurant so I would recommend reserving a table.6 happy customers!

Fist time visits in this town and decided to stop by for a drink.Beer was great, friendly staff behind the bar who were happy to try and interact with my extremely limited French...hahaWe decided to order food, it looked to be mostly burgers but that was okay.It arrived, looked great and tasted fantastic.Would recommend for sure as the others just don't have the same atmosphere :-) Reserva una mesa ahora

Really enjoyed our visit, been to St-Jean many times for skiing and never eaten here before. Great atmosphere, and good food, I hope the current owners keep the restaurant going and we will definitely be going to next year. If there was a little more choice on the menu for main meals I would give the review 5 stars.

heard this place changes every season but hoping these guys are here to stay. great bar with good drinks selection and showing sports. we came back another night for food and had one of the best burgers I've had - very tasty.

We have been visiting La Grande Terche for many years. L'Avalanche this year with its new owner is a breath of fresh air in the village. The drinks are great, food excellent and the hospitality superb. Keep up the good work.

Nice friendly bar, we called for a couple of Apre beers. That night there was live music on in the bar with a great atmosphere We didn't eat in here but the food looked great,especially the burgers. Well worth a visit Reserva una mesa ahora

New owners producing a small simple menu of burgers and tapas. Delicious options on the burgers. Friendly efficient service. Great to have a different option. Good luck!

We were the only ones there but the owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful and we never felt that he wanted us to go
