We ate dinner here last night, and we were quite disappointed. The service was extremely slow. There were about 7 tables. The waiter seated us inside, per our request, and then forgot about us. So we went outside where the other tables were. It still took over 15 minutes for him to take our drink order, then an additional 15 minutes to receive our drinks. They don’t have a menu, just a chalkboard. Which is fine, but the handwriting was hard to read, which was problematic for us in particular, as my husband and I don’t speak French. It took a very long time for him to take our food order, and even longer to bring out our food. I had the duck; it was dry. My husband had steak; he was satisfied with his order. The bread was brought to us after our food arrived, and it wasn’t warm. The whole experience took 1 1/2 hours, which honestly wasn’t worth it for the quality of food. The waiter also told me they were out of a specific beer that I saw in the cooker with my own eyes. Poor service, mediocre food.
Perfect restaurant for a lunch or coffee when visiting Lourdes. The goose is highly recommended and also the burgers were very tasty. The owner is a nice man and he was very friendly and polite. The place is a perfect mix of cosy and rural ambients and they have a lovely doggo!
