Lawley Square Fish

We used to love this place and recommend it to others there was always a queue. last time ewe went the food was poor a few months ago, I believe the ownership had changed. Tonight we decided to try again. I asked for Haddock and was met with bewilderment ?? (some one else said, sorry we dont have it. I ordered large fish, small chips, curry sauce and peas. The chips must be the worse chips I have ever had, tiny, greasy and reheats or under the lights to long, the curry sauce was grainy, i know its made with powder and it tasted like it. I'm gutted. I loved this chippy since I moved to Telford 7 years ago. I'm Scottish and haven't really enjoyed English chippies because they're so different but I loved this one and even when I moved out of Lawley I'd continue to order from there. So imagine how gutted I am when I order tonight and the food quality is subpar. AND they've sent me the complete wrong food which honestly looks inedible and I'm not being funny but when I order donner kebab meat and chips for literally just shy of a tenner, I expect to get it. Instead I got chicken and it's not something I'd feed my dog. I've tried to ring them over 5 times, no answer. From reading reviews now this seems to be a common thing. Reach...

I recently purchased fish and chips from this restaurant again, the first time since 2019. Unfortunately, it seems that nothing has changed. The fish was quite delicious, but the chips were exactly the same as they were in 2019 - pale, limp, tasteless, and severely undercooked. I also paid extra for what was supposed to be a large curry sauce, but it was disappointingly small. The prices are not cheap either. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

Experienced terrible service last night, delivery drivers double parking everywhere while waiting over half an hour for substandard food, our chicken was wet, slimy and hardly cooked.They might as well open up on a industrial estate and just do deliveroo/ just eat. They not interested in serving normal punters....i was shocked . They are certainly not a traditional fish and chip shop , staff totally disconnected from serving normal punters. I placed an order through Uber Eats at 7:30 pm with an estimated delivery time of 8:10 pm. The delivery time was later changed to 9:10 pm, even though the restaurant closes at 8:45 pm. I tried calling the restaurant at 8:30 pm but no one answered. Unfortunately, the food never arrived and the app showed that it was delivered to a completely different address at 9:15 pm. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant.

We ordered fish and chips for dinner last night. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. The fish was overcooked and the chips were flavorless. The curry sauce was watery and lacked any texture. I have had good meals here in the past, but I will not be returning. I do not recommend this place.
