Le 7 Auberge & Restaurant

We travelled quite a way to this restaurant which is very conveniently situated in the centre of the town just a few metres from the entrance to the racecourse. We went there on a dismal November French bank holiday and it brightened our day. We were glad we had booked as the place was full, turning away others arriving after us. The menu was extensive for a restaurant in France and 4 of the party had the 22€ menu whilst 2 had the extra course 30€ menu. All dishes were freshly cooked, evidenced when one of the party, unable to eat cheese asked about the inclusion of cheese in one of the dishes and so this was omitted from the stuffed chicken breast at his request. We found the service exquisite, honest, refreshing and the food was beautifully cooked and delicious from starter to dessert. The hosts speak excellent French and are English by origin. I will always think of Pompadour fondly because of the warm welcome and our lovely meal at No. 7 and know that we will return (if only to sample the fish, duck or the beef or the poulet) ... Great range of options, and very considerate for you to have the kids menu available... Absolutely loved it Anna and Jon and see you again soon to sample your magnifique cuisine and style in a beautiful homely environment...

Simple really, 6 of us went for lunch in Nov Food was great quality, and the service is great, speak both French and English and the food is French, but they have a great chef who brings out the best in the food. Can't fault it really. Will be going back next time we are at Pompadour Book if you plan to go on a festive day or weekend it gets busy

Certainly, there is everything you need to sleep comfortably but this bed and breakfast is soulless and you do not feel welcomed there. breakfast is very far from what you can expect and crêperie is not enthusiastic. Anyway, there's still a lot to do! Reserva una mesa ahora

Fast and efficient... we were very busy with timing and they adapted. Very good service and we ate very well. I recommend!
