Le 7 Perigueux - Reservar una mesa

My husband and I came here to mark months of marriage. It didn't start well as their site didn't register our reservation, but no biggie. They were nice enough to seat us. We asked to not be seated next to the loud area, and...ended up being seated next to a large group of men who were super loud. Another not so great point. The place was empty and seating us there was not necessary. It took a while to get someone to take our order, then when I asked to substitute a dessert (of the exact same price as another in the menu) I was told it's impossible. It's not impossible, they just didn't want to mess with it. But ok, not worth the negative reivew yet, right? When we got our steaks (bavette echalotte) neither of us had ever tasted anything so bland, ever. I had to add pepper to my food, and if you know me, that means it's not good. What really irked me is that every other table got bread, but for some reason we weren't even offered. The nuts on my chocolat craquent were DISGUSTING. I've never tasted anything so bad in my life. I scrapped them off and ate the mousse and cake underneath, which were ok but nothing special. In short, it was a disappointment.

I think we were unlucky on our visit as our waitress had to return twice to tell me my choice was unavailable.I ended up choosing oysters and fish and my partner had pasta carbonara ( a very generous portion)The brasserie is large and modern situated next to a very busy road with a bright look about it.We shall give it another try.

We used to live in France and when we came back to visit friends this year we organised a meal at Le 7 for 11 people. The meal was truly delicious, and the staff were terrific. The restaurant is clean, bright and airy. The meal was devised specially and the price was excellent. We had a great time.

Stopped here for lunch and were quite impressed. Good food, good service, an enjoyable experience. There is a rapid menu, but we chose a la carte and were served very quickly.

Good food, reasonable prices and friendly staff . Did not have the dessert we wanted so offered alternative and free coffees.
