Le Bistrot De Chateauneuf

I ended up eating here on two consecutive nights due to the A9 and A54 being completely shut due to snow and 2000 trapped vehicles and taking refuge in the attached Ibis Hotel. So they had a captive audience. The first night didn’t go well as I ordered the Andouille sausage. The waitress did warn me it was a ‘specialist’ dish. But I thought it was a chorizo-style spicy sausage and ordered it anyway. What a mistake! It was truly awful. I did however finish my potato dauphinois and veggies, which were lovely as was the artisan bread which is complimentary. The waitress on removing my plate asked if there was a problem. I told here there wasn’t, just that I didn’t like the sausage and as I had ordered it, it was my problem. She offered to get me a steak instead but I politely declined. Upon receiving my bill I was only charged for my drink. I tried to pay more but she would not accept. She was absolutely lovely about the whole thing. On my second night I played it safe and ordered the cheeseburger. It was lovely. And HUGE! You won’t need a starter before or want a pudding after. The House red was also lovely. Again the service was great. Friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay at the Ibis Hotel here again en route to Spain. And I heartily recommend this restaurant.

Quite nice restaurant outside Orange. Nice menu and some dishes of the day. They have a very interesting buffet for salads and one for desserts but you have to pay extra for them The food is above average but not the best you can find in Orange. The provencal chicken was very good but the marinated beef was not very tasty and also overcooked. The service was not very polite and didn't speak English. Finally I will like to mention that I paid a menu for both the salad and the dessert buffet and my wife just ordered a simple main course. Because they saw my wife taste something from the salads I took from the buffet, without telling us they charge us both for the buffets, something that did not satisfy me but paid it anyway. I think that this is not an appropriate behaviour for a restaurant.

Very good service, very graceful and pleasant waitresses! The menu is very good, hearty and very good! Good value for money! Very pleasant in the evening... small dish on the dessert: a chocolate melt too cooked and rubbery as the melt... To correct but overall, a good table, I recommend

Air-conditioned space, you have the choice to eat on the terrace or in, the reception is hot, the very smiling staff, the dishes are very rich and delicious. The service is relatively fast. The decor is nice, it's the second time I come back in a week. I recommend
