Having been to the restaurant next door a few times we thought we would try out the new bistro, and we were not disappointed. The dining room is large and tastefully decorated, the view across the Dordogne valley is stunning, and although it was busy, the acoustics were such that you could still hold a conversation at a normal level. There are two menus, menu of the day €18 (3 fixed courses) or a la carte €27 (choice of around 6 options for each course). The food was fresh, pleasing to the eye and the palette and just a little bit different from the usual restaurant fayre. The gazpacho of cucumber with coconut, curry and prawns was delicious, as was my green and white asparagus tempura. Main c...

With the new owner's from Trémolat having taking over we thought the new bistro (created from an old Dance hall) would match their other one in Trémolat. It doesn't! A huge lack of choice, 4 options one being the 'plat de jour' so if you didn't happen to like, tripe sausage, octupus or foie-gras, foorget it. The menu is very limited so if you deviate in one course you get each plate charged individually and pay big time. Portions are minuscule, my 'main' course of cod was smaller than a cigarette packet, with a smudge of carrot puree and 6 slices of other funny coloured carrots and some foam, and charged 18€ for that 1 plate. This place is a rip off! you can eat far better and for far less m...

This new bistrot is next door to and is owned by La Tour des Vents. The format is, i believe, very different from it's Michelin starred neighbour. The bistrot is open Mondays to Fridays for lunch only. The main menu is à la carte and has a selection of three starters, three main courses and various deserts and a cheese plate. The price of this menu is €26 plus wine and coffee. Each day there is a daily menu "l'Ardoise" which offers a single starter, single main course and single desert. The cost of the daily menu is €17 plus wine and coffee. Three of us ate the daily menu whilst the fourth person ate the €26 menu. We all found the food to be of good quality and very tasty. The service was re...

I wrote a review soon after this opened and I wasn 't impressed, but what a change, we have been here twice either side of Christmas. It is a bistrot but the food quality was really excellent our last two visits and at least two of...our party are quite picky eaters but even they ate everything up and we were all delighted and will be back very soon. They have improved the decor, a much more interesting selection of food. There is a 'menu du jour ' around 14€, and a carte for 28€, we chose the carte, not that there wasn 't anything wrong with the menu du jour, I had a superb soup with a poached egg and sliced truffles, a 'house ' burger with real chip and an excellent chocolate desert. It to... Reserva una mesa ahora

As the name suggests, this new restaurant is a Bistro not a Michelin 2* restaurant as is Le Tour de Vents so we were not disappointed. It compared favourably with other Bergerac restaurants both for price and flavour but surpassed anywhere else locally because of the view. We visited on a lovely sunny day and could see for miles over Bergerac and beyond. I would recommend booking a window table as they go very quickly. We had the basic 17 euro menu which included 3 set courses but not wine and coffee. It was delicious but not large portions and beautifully presented. I will certainly go back but beware they only open at lunch time at the moment.

I believe this is a new addition to La Tour des Vent which is right next door to this newly renovated building. The food was as good in quality as the Michelin star restaurant and I even thought it was the same chef but the staff said not. There are several menu choices from the menu du jour at €17 and a larger choice menu at €26 where you can mix and match from both menus. Excellent food, excellent service and a nice informal atmosphere. Thank you for making it an enjoyable birthday treat. Merci beaucoup a tous.

we had a nice lunch break, good food, great view and ok service. eating is excellent and at 30€ appropriate for the standard of food. the dining room itself has a fantastic view over the valley towards bergerac, and the tables are positioned to make...the best of it. the service was ok, not very smiley and if I'm honest, I felt a little snucky. Anyway, I would recommend it for a nice relaxing lunch.

New restaurant, same owners as La Tour de Vents. The food was very nice, you have an option of choosing between two kind of menus, one of 17€ the other of 26€, both itch out drinks. The vies were excellent, the place is very big, but for my opinion a bit unpersonal and cold. In general a good experience. Reserva una mesa ahora
