On previous visits to the Island we have been to this restaurant and enjoyed the food. We visited again and clearly the place has changed hands. OK we sat and no menus were provided. I dont mind laid back but the owner/waiter gave the impression of total indifference. No menus provided we were simply asked if we wanted meat or fish. We did manage eventually to get a little more information. My nephew asked for a rare steak it was not. The food was OK which is the nicest thing you can say really. Portions small. A very disappointing experience. The place was empty when we passed a day or two later which says it all.

Having had two excellent meals here when holidaying on the Ile de Re two years ago, we wanted to revisit. Sadly the fantastic salads we'd enjoyed were not on the menu...oh we weren't offered a menu. Just asked whether we wanted fish or meat, given a couple of options. Not offered starters...it was an "interesting experience" not necessarily one I'd want to repeat. The food itself was fine, small portions though, and no vegetables or side salads available because the market had been closed that day!! Some May have found the waiter's indifferent manner entertaining, but not us I'm afraid.

I'm joining the other opinions on this restaurant, this kind of address should not exist. It's literally a money pump. food is execible, the ultra unpleasant reception. I didn't think we could pay the head of the customers to that point. I went to take a look at company.com and it is indicated that the company is radiated! So more the right to exploit.

We took a pizza to take away last August. It was the worst pizza in our life! The dough, the filling... were horrible. The owner should be ashamed to smuggle his clients. It's the place to avoid for pizza. On the other hand, in the city center next to the church there are good pizzas made with wood fire.

to flee c is a speculator!!! there just to make money on the back of the tourists the name now "pizza pineau" even to drink a shot don't go any towel to dry out hand pizza cooked in the electric oven finally brief to flee!!!!

tourist trap. avoid at all costs. The kitchen is infamous, the reception is detestable. It's not a restaurant, but a company that's dedicated to scamming people. simply scandalous to see that such institutions can exercise.

Lovely bistro in the middle of the market at Le Bois Plage. Good coffee. Very busy at weekends, so book a table to avoid disappointment. Varied menu.friendly staff.

OK for a coffee if it is not too busy. Otherwise service is very variable. Nothing to recommend going out of your way to visit the place.
