A basic café. Handy for a coffee or a beer whilst waiting for a train at nearby Hautmont Station to or from Lille. We had just visited the Cemetary where we had traced the WW1 grave of my wife 's Great Uncle. Friendly service from staff and a little chat with the locals! It is frequented as a meeting place for a drink, snack, watch the horse racing place a bet, or buy a lotto ticket. One charming French lady told us: 'I am 83 and come here every day '. She also cleared tables in between studying the racing form!

I went there at the beginning for the reception and sending of parcels. Now I enjoy and drink my coffee. There is a family atmosphere that reigns in this place. If you are on the way, take the time to ask yourself five minutes, you will be amazed at the reception of customers and other regulars. Emmanuel De Antoniis
