we've been going to this trailing restaurant for years and for the first time have been disappointed. Obviously it's related to the change of owner:- the decor has been modernized but the place much lost of its cachet, the plastic having replaced the wood of the tables and chairs, the old mountain photos have disappeared, more open fireplace etc.- the reception is correct but the atmosphere is no longer the same and the bar is no longer enclosed with monitors drinking a blow on the background of good music. - it's always the same good cook, but the card has been simplified, probably to simplify the management, and so we don't want to go there several times. when choosing the desert, you are...
The situation with this restaurant is slightly confusing! It used to be called Le Boitet or Chez Gilles. It is now called 'Tracteur et Bigoudis'. I think there is a sister restaurant in Lyon. The original phone numbers do not work! The current phone number is +33 (0) 450580835. It's still a very nice restaurant with some new furniture and a new menu. It is busy but the service is very friendly. We have just had a great lunch there and the view is spectacular.
This is our favourite spot on the slopes in St Gervais for a beer before the last run home! Tucked away, fab wooden building with a log burner always going and a lovely host. Had lunch here for the first time this Feb and it was also superb...all home made...the roast chicken with mini roast potatoes were spot on....cant book, first come first served...always full of locals...this place is a must when skiing this area.
everything has changed and not better, even the customer - the monitors have disappeared - the furniture is less comfortable and the decoration is not terrible. the new name is qq advantage when all other restaurants are full we always have its chance in this setting.

a top kitchen with a delicious homemade soup (but ate such a good soup), a varied dish of day and especially a warm welcome. what better after a morning under the snow than being able to warm up at the corner of the fire.
a charming setting with a central wooden bar and a stove to warm the atmosphere that waitresses are trying to make warm. a velvet jump at the yok, it's not very local but excellent we spent a good time in a mountain hut
beautiful terrace in case of beautiful weather and warm interior. The welcome is nice and the dishes are delicious. We recommend this stop on the tracks just above the bettex station.
Superb views nice food after all, however service is far too slow, 40 mins for 2 soups and a tartiflette. Portions sizes very small too. Would I come back? Only for drinks and view.

Stopped in here for a coffee, very good and well priced. We didn't eat bu the aromas coming from the kitchen were amazing. Hope to be back!
