Le Bouchon - Reserva de mesa

Perhaps the best French bistro experience we've had in Chicago and maybe outside of France. Steak Frites and Frisée salad (lyonnaise) we're spectacularly prepared, the awesomely large selection of Beaujolais wines was an intriguing complement. Our hostess was so thoughtful we arrived 20 minutes late due to marathon traffic, but she was glad to hold our table since we called. Our waiter was great offering unvarnished recommendations. And topping of the evening was a spectacular caramel apple tart.

Great experience last night. We ordered the escargot and the duck. They were excellent! The duck was perfectly cooked and delicious!The service was great, very attentive but not too much. We didn't have dessert this time, too full. Hoping the maple crème brûlée is back on the menu next time we go?

so good! started with the liver mousse, escargot special, and mussels. some of the best mussels i've had! entrees were the ocean trout puff pastry and scallops. 10/10!

Given the bistro is small and tables are close together, the servers and hostess continuously bumped into my chair.
