There are three parts to this restaurant, as one comes in there is outside seating, then one enters the bar and through the bar there is the restaurant. On the evening we visited a group of a dozen or so enjoyed dinner outside, some diners...eat in the bar and others in the restaurant. It is very flexible, subject to space being available. Most of the people in the bar were locals enjoying a drink and meeting friends. There is a good varied menu and as we were there in season there was a board listing asparagus specialities. However, the speciality of the house is lamb in various dishes. A reasonable selection of open wines at fair prices and excellent service. Indeed the service was very good considering the number of people inside and out that one waitress served.
The Bourg Ville was a most pleasant surprise!!! If you’ve been, or are planning to go to, the Gianadda museum, have lunch at the Bourg Ville !!! It is only a (walking slowly) walk from the museum. Excellent food (they specialise in lamb, but...we had the daily special which was amazing), warm and cosy atmosphere (many locals-a good sign), great service with a smile and a real sense of being welcome. A superb discovery. I look forward to my next visit!
As the by-line of the restaurant claims they seem to be proud of their lamb-dishes. Everyone's food looked very well cooked, and mine was splendid. The ambiance is that of a traditional restaurant that you are more likely to come across in small towns...in southern Europe. Quite popular with locals, it seems.
