This a very friendly Pub That is situated in a corner of the village square that serves very tasty Pub type food, and yes the Pasty’s can be a bit dry but there is plenty of choice to fish n chips, curries , omelettes etc...etc making it a very popular meeting place for a bite to eat, a drink and a chat. The Owner is English but that he speaks French all the time time is very misleading , You will be greeted in French but if you do not speak French , David will very quickly speak to you in English as will most of the very friendly barmaids. Good morning Using a relay and chateaux box, I booked a meal, a room and breakfast for my wife and myself for the evening of November 1st. Ah yes, November 1st was the evening of storm Ciaran. I tried to cancel in view of this storm 24 hours in advance. Response from the hotel: with the box it is 48 hours in advance...what to do? Well, the hotel allowed itself to leave me a message the evening of this storm to tell me that it was surprised not to see me! The trade.... I was there with English mates {Not Brits, as we are English now! Especially after Brexit with the Irish/Scottish problems. Oh dear and the Salmond problem... and I did not eat but they did. They told me that the omelettes were excellent, as they...had not eaten them in Brittany before [Many restos do not provide them in small places Chips were average. Service was good. The beer was acceptable. Another Englishman I talked to told me that it is up and down, but normally good.

We found this bar when property searching in Huelgoat.Pleasant surprise didn't know the owner was English at first but realised later,very friendly. Pub food is good ,fish and chips were really good and also the curry. Nice range of beers. Will definitely go back and recommend .

Excellent service ! The card ils vert well détaillés with lots of différent choices such as beers ans food. The waitress is lovely and dedicated to bring you exactly what you want. I will definitely go back there.

Great Pub/Restaurant , right in the heart of Huelgoat. Friendly staff, French and English spoken. Would recommend the Fish and Chips also the Curry. Expat Cornish owner, made you feel welcome.
