After a long walk around the magnificent scenery surrounding the Pont d’Arc (the prehistoric natural bridge carved out by the Ardeche River which eroded the mountain), we stopped by the village of Balazuc and discovered this cute restaurant. It is very well situated on a hill that gives a bird’s eye view of the giant cliffs surrounding the rocky River. They don’t have the full gourmet cuisine of the local region, but they do have a simple menu of burgers and pasta, plus some grilled steaks. I had the ravioli au gratin with a double cream Reblochon cheese and it was fabulous.
