Le Cafe de Paris

We were giving a glowing recommendation of Le Cafe de Paris and decided to give it a go. We booked after looking on their website for a Sunday lunch and really loved the decor but sadly it went down hill from there. There were far too many covers for the kitchen and waiting staff to cope with - this made service painfully slow; secondly, we understood from the website that there was an an a la carte and table d'hôte menu (even on a Sunday) but this was not the case and then three-course menu available was not too our taste nor something we would have chosen and so did not enjoy the food either.Had to wait for ever for water and each course purely down to there being far too many customers for them to provide the service that their price point should be.Will try again, but not on a Sunday lunchtime, when we can choose from the interesting looking al la carte.

I've been living or visiting France for many many years and it seems like those tucked away and affordable restaurants, quintessentially french, are getting harder to find. Well the Cafe de Paris in the village of Brassac is one of them. Simple but elegant in its decor, with the kind of service you would expect to go with it, you are not surprised when your dish comes, perfectly presented, at the right temperature and well, delicious. Try the sweetbread (ris de veau).By the way, the chef and owner Arnaud will buy local and sustainable, whenever he can get his hands on it. This is becoming almost as important as taste. Because good tasting healthy food is as important to the diner, as it is to the planet.Enjoy and celebrate what the Cafe de Paris has to offer.

everything started well when booking by phone 2 hours before arrival, the chef who responded was nice to us. Then we really enjoyed the chef's cuisine and the restaurant's setting, professional and smiling service. I'm sorry I didn't keep the cash ticket to put it online because the price was very suitable for the quality of the service. We'll take the time to come back even if we have to make a detour! good welcome in a rural and authentic setting. Simple but effective service.The dishes offered on the menu of the day are local and copied. brandade is excellent, but a little too salty, which is not the case of addition that is more than reasonable. has my sense, good table at the gates of the black mountain between castres and lacaune.

that of happiness, very well received by there waitress, the delicious meal refined and very original sweet salty mix, perfect, thanks to the chef especially don't change anything.
