... with a cooling breeze coming off the lake on a 37 degree day was pretty close to the perfect lunch. Polite and very prompt service, simple, but good local food at a reasonable price very relaxing indeed. As often is the case, the desserts were a standout and I permitted myself one as I had had the local fish as my main I chose rice rather than chips and it was lovely very simple, but tasty and fresh.
Sans intrªt. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi autant davis positifs les plats sont insipides et surtout surgels¦Je nai mªme pas fini mes frites ni la truite pas du tout assaisonne compl¨tement s¨che. Le fameux dessert « Le Cygne » nest quun ramassis de cr¨me et de pte choux. Passez votre chemin la baraque frite sur la plage sera bien meilleure. Food: 1
Fun nice resturant with decent simple food. Had the fillet de perche with a salad and the house made tart tantin for dessert. Salad was okay, Perche ok, both decent, but not exceptional. The Tart-Tantiin was exceptional as the service. So food pre Dessert 3.5 but dessert and service draw it up to 4! Good view of the lake and not pricy!
My first time to the lake and what a great little restaurant the Calypso is! Had the 3 course meal, with the farmhouse salad, chicken and the ice cream, food was quick and of great service and the waitresses were constantly making sure that we were fine for drinks. Fab service!!
